The VH05 Diff Lyse is a stabilized, micro-filtered chemical solution used in conjunction with a diluent during Complete Blood Count (CBC) and 5-part differential blood analyses. In veterinary diagnostics, blood from species like dogs, cats, or horses presents challenges due to differing cell fragility. This reagent selectively stromatolyses (lyses) the erythrocytes and stabilizes hemoglobin, leaving white blood cell membranes intact to be accurately measured using laser scatter or electrical impedance.
