Specs & features.
Povidone Iodine is a stable chemical complex of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and elemental iodine. Unlike harsh elemental iodine or tincture of iodine, which can be highly irritating and volatile, povidone iodine slowly releases free iodine into the treatment area. This gradual release minimizes tissue toxicity and is generally safe for mucous membranes and sensitive skin when used as directed.
